OMG, a Joe Hall page! And no signatures in the guest book?!!??? C'mon Canada, what's wrong with you? This guy is a national treasure! If he lived in Japan, the government would put him on a salary just to sit around and write! Buy a CD! Hell, buy two! Send him a cheque for no reason at all! Take him out to dinner! Get yourself surgically altered to resemble him! Put his kids through college! Get up off your duff and do SOMETHING! You -will not- regret it! Hey, let go of me! What are you doing? What's that needle for? NO!!! DON'T!!!!! zzzzz.........
Barbara Strident - of Hollywood, USofA
Joe's music has been a revelation to me. I recently quit touring because I had tired of the insipid material that has been the hallmark of my career. My many fans will be pleased to hear that I will be returning to the concert stage with an all-new repertoire consisting entirely of Joe's material. Ciao!
Joe Hall - of , America

The Crow - rnancarrow@bmts.com of Kemble, Ontario, Canada
Hi Joe: Remember the red 56 caddy, you in the back in a rent a cop uniform, locks shorn like a sheep, me the driver, a freak in madras shirt and hush puppies. Remember the office below the Infinite Noodle, me in the pantry sleeping velcrowed to the wall.. Tom: How are you? What are you up to? A live perfomance would be good. They don't make Old Sailor anymore, but antifreeze with grape jucie will do. I am a Grand Crow, 2 mini crows, age 6 and 4 - 2 daughters 32 and 26. The Crow
Allen Swift - swifteye@msn.com of Martinez, California, USA
Hey Joe, where you goin' with that gun (ukelele) in yo hand? Gosh...stumbled onto yer site while tryin' to find some David Blue...bought your best of. Like finding a long lost friend. Still do my own renditions of Hexagon, Bittersweet, and Sleepy John. Think of Eyeball Wine Co. daze. Still miss Sheila. Tell Annie I said Hi. I'll see you sometime.
Roger Brant - ram1@telus.net of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Okey dokey, I'll sign dis ting. Why not? Between the jokesters and the old pals, I'll fit right in. Me - JH's bass player from back in the days of vinyl and cheap draft. Ooops, can remember which of those we drank (maybe both?) These days we ramble less but manage to find great ukeleles and still play the odd gig (aren't they all odd?) Good idea this bulletin board, Mr. Burke. I just got in touch with Mr. Swift, who dates back to Toronto 1972 when first I ventured forth into the land of Eyeball. Great how this cyberspace thing leaves us nowhere to hide....
Jack McCluskey - j..mccluskey@sympatico.ca of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada
Hi Roger, Are you still alive? So am I. I first met Joe at Mike's Cantina in Yorkville. I think David Tadia brought him around. That would be about 1968 or 1969. The same summer when the Americans walked on the moon. Joe had already written "Up & Down the Road" and other great songs and would soon form the band Drummond McCaul with Bill Williams & Daryl Leberg. Joe's songs have been part of my life ever since. --Jack
Henry Rasmussen - mascon@sympatico.ca of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
Hey Joe how is it going? Don't think youi remember me but I knew you when you lived behind Tommy's Fruit Market in Kitchener (early 60's). I believe before that you lived downtown Waterloo. I still see many of the people that knew you back then. i.e. Bob Tait, "Lenny" LaRose etc. and a couple and others whom names escape me at the moment.
Shad - shad@rollingstones.com of hither & yon, country? Well I'm more of a rock'n'roller myself....
It was a dark and stormy night, about a million years ago...when I wandered into the Squire's Tavern and took a seat to be serenaded by 5 maniacs singing a song called, "Vampire Beavers". Well what can I say? It was a life altering experience. Thank you Joe (and all your co-conspirators over the years) for the wonderful music. See you around.
Joe Hall - of Anderson, South Carolina, USA

T.T. - info@silentpartnerusa.net of Happy, Lala Land
Enough time has lapsed. When will Joe get back out there again? Am I the only one on this planet that desires to see and hear him performing with a band again on the bar circuit? Or have the rules of life changed when I was not looking and now we are all to old to have fun anymore? Some one, please, start a petition to release Joe from where ever his has been these many past years. FREE JOE HALL TODAY !!!!
Bob Murray - of Ajax, Ontario, Canada
Hi Joe...Long time no see. It's been a long time (22 years!) since those mad parties at the farmhouse in Ajax with Joe V. and Ian Crichton. Remember the party on New Years eve 1982 when we had to rush the wife to hospital to deliver my son Myk? Well,he's 22 now and it seems he's inherited the damn music gene! Check out his website at: www.emptychambermusic.com Hope you're doin' well. Merry Christmas!...........Bob
Gunther - dthomas@golden.net of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
Good Lord, how many years has it been since I was called that? Oh yeah... the last time I saw Bernie Carrol... "I don't have to live like this..." It's been a long time since the Open End Coffee House in Grand Bend, "The Seine" and "Greenback Dollar". Remember opening for the Wrestling Match in Little Current? And Haystack coming back to "The Castle" to visit? I still shudder when I recall Peter Soroka and you and I going camping on that island in the middle of Georgian Bay.. what the heck were we thinking? And through it all, the music, always the beautiful music that you created and shared. Thanks for that Joe! And hello Richard Nancarrow! Whatever happened I wonder, to Ann Apple Pie...? dt
Joe Hall - joehall@pobox.com of Oakland, California, USA

Hi Joe! How's Peterborough treating you these days? I saw you recently on the corner of Dundas and Bay in Toronto.. Sorry I didn't have the opportunity to say hello. All the best to you and see you round sometime!
Gary LeDrew - comgar@gmail.com of Louisbourg, Cape Breton Island, Canada

Paul Gural - pgural@hotmail.com of New London, CT, USA (formerly from Toronto)
Used to love catching Joe in and around Peterborough when I wuz at Trent. Somewhere in the bowels of Trent Radio is a 90-minute live recording I made of Joe with JP Hovercraft on bass and backing vox at the old Jolly Hangman around 1990. Good sound quality, too. I sure would love to hear something released after Rapture. Come play in New England sometime.
Paul Stacey (Shaky) - rover101@telus.net of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada
Hey, Joe, good to see you're alive and well and keeping up the good (?) work. When you getting out to Alberta again (I know, I know, but I think they've forgotten last time around, and if they haven't I can arrange for Sol to fit them with concrete boots). Divorce is a bitch...David Brown's ex has all of my LP's of yours, sooner or later I'll get 'em back (yeah, right), but it looks like I'll have to order this greatest hits of yours if I want sooner. And how come none of your publicity mentios the love songs you write? (Whiskey Talking is still one of my favourite songs ever, and I know you have others of similar calibre) Enough! I must be gone. Cheers, Shaky
Carmen - tiger_milkshake@hotmail.com of Powell River, British Columbia, Canada

Jack Kerouac - summerbeachman@hotmail.com of SouthWestern Ontario, Canada
Hi Joe, googled myself and got you! Damn you're more famous than I am! I was there when you played your first gig at Central High School in London and many years later at one of your absolutely wonderful gig at Free Times Cafe in Toronto. Got drunk with you for the first time on rhubarb wine at your mother's apartment in London in the 60's and can't remember but either you or I got bored reading Playboy and did a back roll off the couch and later we ended up pissing off a 401 overpass on the cars below. You often gigged with my ex-brother-in-law Willi P. Bennett. Liza lives in London now. Remember finding an oar on the island Gunther mentions that I believe we used for the top of our makeshift blanket tent to shelter us from the storm. Then the mouse visited.. Gunther, remember staying up most of the night at that cottage a bunch of us rented in Grand Bend sipping rum and us singing along with old bebop tunes on the tape I had? What about that house a lot of us rented at 1153 (?) King East, laying on the floor with This is the End by the Doors playing on speakers we placed on each side of our heads. What was the name of that late night restaurant nearby on King that we used to hit when we had some money? Any of you Waterloo people remember Sonny's Drive-in and the Glenn Briar? It was American Graffiti for real... Peter TenHoope, Cathey Henderson, Mara. Joe what ever happened to that woman that broke the front door window at 1153? Never mind Under the Volcano, what about that time living under the Infinite Noodle in that former office area? Nancarrow, Prudence Edwards, girls bringing us food stolen from their parents kitchens, Albert Petersen, Bernie, that time he went away on honeymoon and we all injested various intoxicants and tried to run the place? What did we put in that spaghetti sauce anyway? I know it wasn't Old Sailer Red. Anyway, I'm glad I chanced on your site and got to share some old memories before our generation starts showing up in the obits. Take care friend.
